Manchester City vs Watford FC

Manchester City vs Watford FC Watford hosts Manchester City in Premier League match at Vicarage Road Stadium on Saturday

Manchester City head into Saturday’s football game against Watford after their thrilling 5-0 win over Liverpool.  The Citizens need to keep their momentum and  aim to take the top position in the Premier League. Watford managed to beat Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium last weekend. Watford FC is currently ranked 4th in the Premier League standings with 8 points. Manchester City FC is ranked 2nd with 10 points. Watford FC will host Manchester City FC, at Vicarage Road, at 1500 BST on Saturday, September 16, 2017.

Watford FC scored a victory at Southampton under head coach Marco Silva last weekend. The Hornets midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure put the Hornets ahead. He and midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah have done well behind forwards Andre Gray and Richarlison. These players are the reason Watford FC is unbeaten with eight points from four games. The Hornets are playing with a lot of confidence at the moment. They have a good team and a lot of strength in the team up front.

Manchester City did crush Liverpool 5-0, but Sadio Mane had to leave in the first half of the game. The Blues midfielder Kevin De Bruyne passing skills helped to carve open Liverpool. Forwards Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero are developing a genuine partnership and they seem to be meshing well. Man City can bring on midfielder Leroy Sane just as defenders are tiring, which spells trouble for opponents. The Blues suffered from some slow starts before, but can now kick on and show their class.  Man City attacking partnership of Aguero and Gabriel Jesus was in a perfect working order against Liverpool. Sportsbooks Games predict that the Citizens are going to extend their winning run in the national championship.

Soccer – Manchester City vs. Everton

Manchester City vs EvertonEtihad Stadium hosts its first game of the 2017/18 season as Everton takes on Manchester City

The Manchester City team this year looks like it’s going to be top contender for the Premier League title this year. Manchester City can bounce right back from their first loss at Tottenham.  Manchester City looks like it could be back at 100 percent in this matchup on the health front. Benjamin Mendy and Ilkay Gundogan are going to be back perhaps as early as this one. Argentinian professional footballer, Sergio Aguero seems to be back in tip top form after struggling for much of last season. Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne could start after his injury but he is in question. Midfielder Fernandinho, looks like a new man at the age of 32. His offseason got him back in good health and h\he is playing at a high level.

Everton is a side that can make this match a nightmare for the Citizens, though.  Ross Barkley’s season is off to a rocky start for Everton. He has yet to get on the pitch thanks to a hamstring problem that will keep him off for this one as well. Everton has spent big buying Wayne Rooney, Jordan Pickford and Gylfi Sigurdsson. Everton have  lost lethal forward Romelu Lukakau to Manchester United. Gareth Barry is hoping to get back on the pitch after sitting out the opener with an ankle injury.  Same could be said for Aaron Lennon. James McCarthy’s knee will probably keep him out of the lineup for this match as well.

If Everton comes out victorious at the Ethiad then people will know another English powerhouse is emerging. If Manchester City wins this match then count them on being favorites for the Premier League title. Sportsbooks Games will give Manchester City the edge to win this match at Etihad Stadium. Don’t miss this English Premier League action at 3 p.m. ET on Monday, August 21, 2017.
